Holiday 2010

The holidays this year were a good mix of relaxed and busy. Aaron's birthday party was a great hit but the prep was hours and hours worth of work. All morning before the party we were cleaning, making a balloon arch, prepping food tables and games. The balloon dart board was great and the kids loved breaking the balloons with their darts.  It was a very full house.  The cake Shelly made with Aaron's sweet face on it was wonderful.  The highlight, an amazing balloon artist.  The week leading up to the party and the night before I hadn't slept well at all so I was pretty shot.  However, with this event out of the way my sleep returned to normal and I could tackle the rest of the week.  I took stepdaughter Ashley to get her wisdom teeth out this week and we cared for her.  It was a week of some work, getting kids to appointments, running again and last minute shopping.  It felt so good with a house full of kids and chores to still make time for workouts and acupuncture. Christmas Eve went great.  I helped my mom prep all day for serving such a large group dinner. We had service at my parents church and Dave's entire family came.  The songs were wonderful and it felt so nice to fellowship with others celebrating Christ coming.  We had about 25 people to my parents after for a wonderful dinner.  I worked on Christmas and we went to Mother in Law-Viva's for dinner and then home for stockings and bed.  New Years will be pretty low key too since Dave and I work New Years Day.  I think we'll do some fireworks and go play here and get to bed early.  Aaron's favorite presents this year were his little air hockey machine, stuffed E.T. doll, lots of mighty beans a crystal growing set.  He loved his stocking too which had the movies Toy Story 3, Shrek The Final Chapter, a Kiss tee shirt and candy in it.  Grandpa got his art lessons at Young Art which he so enjoys.

Dave's Christmas party and Dave got Calvin to sit near Santa for a picture.

There was only one snow this year and it came before Thanksgiving.  It was just enough to make a snowman.

Here comes Santa-arriving in our little town via helicopter

Come say hi to Aaron

Merry Christmas

New Years we both worked so we had a low key night-some fireworks at home with the kids and champagne.
