100 days until a dream comes true

In 100 days I get to make a dream I've had for the last 10 years come true.  David and I are going to Europe.  Our trip is called the Romance Tour and we get to see Florence, Rome, Venice and end on Valentines day in France.  What a Valentines day it will be. I am counting down the days.

Sister's Tea for Lauralea's Birthday

For Lauralea's 29th birthday we put on a tea at Shelly's house. I got fun hats and we dressed up.

We had fruit and Shelly made a wonderful egg dish and baked treats.

We love the Children's Museum

Bob the Builder

Lots of water play

And tunnels to find. We have also gone when Children's Museum has featured Curious George. It's perfect for rainy winter days.

The Portland Marathon was wonderful.  I wasn't thrilled with my times but it was a wet, icky day and I had flu symptoms all week so I'll take it.  I ended up with 4:04.58-a 9:21 minute mile pace.  I loved my 10 k and half marathon where i was right in the 8:30-8:40 pace.  It is an improvement from my Eugene 4:18 though so I'm hoping this year at Eugene to break 4 hours. Looking forward to the next race-30 miles on the 30th this month.  Wish me luck.

My Life is an Open Book

The Author: Is Shannon, who is attempting to live on the Sunny side of life in rainy Sherwood Oregon.  Loving the cool climate here as it's perfect for long runs, great hikes and bike riding.  When it gets really rainy it means it's time to get up to the mountain and snowboard.  I don't feel like my day is started until I've gotten my workout.
The Characters: David-running coach and loving partner, Ashely-18-stepdaughter, Austin 15-stepson, Aaron-4-son
The Setting: A 80 year old Portland Style home situated in a small little town outside Portland.
The Plot: Raising a very busy little boy and the adventures we have doing it.
The Twist: Trying to live a life of balance
