May Highlights

The month of May was incredible. We had some great sunny days to play in. Here's my coaches biking along as I ran.

We got to go to Cirque's Totem show. It was amazing.  Aaron loved it.  Info here

Dress here, Aaron's cute anchor shorts Jcrew-similar ones this season here, polo here, and I realized the cute shoes I wanted him to wear didn't fit anymore so he's in his skate shoes-sigh here.

We signed Aaron up for fall tackle football and started training early. His goal is to run a fast 5k next month. He and I both love Nuun to add to our water. You can get it here:Nuun. Here's his new running gear, including new shoes and a great camelback for water:

We had a great Memorial day weekend with friends and family:

A run and park time with my cousins and nephews:

Aaron ran a great race!

I had to buy Frozen and the Lego Movie-both really good:

And Wow-movie below was intense. I didn't like it.

Lots of great long runs with the running group:

A birthday party for running buddy Art!

Plus, Aaron found a great new place to skate:

Memorial Day Fun

We had a wonderful holiday weekend!  Saturday our dear friends and their kids got to come have dinner and play in the park. All the water features in our parks turn on over the weekend so we all got wet.

Enjoying Wine with Marcella!

Lauren always loves to dress up.

Water fun in the fountain!

It's been a tradition over the weekend for Aaron and I to run the Rum Run in Tualatin (here). I didn't run this year but Aaron did great. He's ready for a 5k as the kids 1k is just too easy now. We had a relaxing Sunday, complete with a massage for me and some downtime playing games for Aaron.

Monday I got to go up to Battleground to visit the family and play with the cousins. Mom and Dad cooked a feast for lunch!

Family Vacations

Our family is pretty routine when it comes to vacation.  Most summers we take a trip to Seattle and one to the beach. We're going to Gleneden beach this year in June with my stepkids and I'm excited to see the ocean. It's been a while!

We do Seattle in August so we have the best chances of getting a warm day. We enjoy the waterslides in Seattle one day  (here) and another day we enjoy Pike Place Market ( here) where we buy flowers, berries and just enjoy the great views.  We usually make it to this great park (here) as well.  It has a 3 mile paved running/biking trail so we used to rollerblade to our hearts content.  This time I'll run while Dave and Aaron bike.

Our bigger vacations to warmer places we typically take in the winter when it's wet and grey here in Oregon. The summer is so great here-not to hot, not to cold. So, we like to stick around home.
