Sandwiches at Bread and Butter
Kayak trip and swimming with dolphins
We visited The Painted Church

Hikes on beaches

That evening we experienced the amazing manta ray night dive.  We had over 14 manta ray's swimming all around us. It was spectacular.

We hit Ultimate Burger after for dinner and it hit the spot.

Day 4-Thursday
We drove to the volcano today and made stops at
Kailua Candy
Rainbow falls-I found a great cliff to jump off:

We had quite a climb to get to the cliff for jumping.

Cliff jump:

We spent time hiking around the Volcano National park and then came back for the evening viewing of the volcano. It hasn't been this active for 30 years so we were excited to get to see it. There were parts of the hike that were so dry and others that were so lush.

Thai Thai for dinner
We stayed in hotel in Hilo for the night so we could explore more of this side of the island.

Day 4: Friday
We found some great deals on Quicksilver and surf clothes and spent some time shopping.
Ken's house of Pancakes for breakfast
Two more waterfalls and one with a rope swing!

Here's a video of Dave on the rope swing:

What's Shakin for smoothie
Lunch and doughnut at Tex Drive in
Stopped by Queens Shops to check out Quicksilver shop
Amazing sunset and happy hour at Don The Beachcomber

Dave was thrilled because he could watch the playoff basketball game and the sunset at the same time.

Day 5-Saturday
Relaxing day
Place of Refuge and snorkeling
South Kona fruit stand for banana bread and fruit
Shopping and art gallery hopping downtown Kona
Don's happy hour again-live music/Pina Coladas.  Wonderful final last day

Day 6-Sunday-return home to Aaron:)
We were so thrilled to get time on the big island.  It's one of the best snorkeling spots and you can read more about snorkeling here and around the world here.
