New Years Eve: Welcome 2016

We had such a wonderful time at the mountain for the week of New Years. We stayed at The Grand Lodge on Mt. Hood five glorious days and had wonderful time snowboarding with our boy and relaxing with friends.

We spent New Years Eve day sledding with Kelley, Tracie, Tarah and Kenzie.

We got some fun snow paint and Tarah made a cool peace sign.

The evening begins:

Hot Chocolate Bar

We had art, hair chalk, movies, a polaroid camera, games and movies available for the evening.

We started the night at our house with wine and horderves but then went over to where some friends were staying for dinner.  Kelley and Tracie made an amazing lasagna as well as spaghetti and meatballs.  Abbie, Lauren and Aaron loved meeting their new friend Mackenzie.

The kids had fun with the chalk hair color and Richard even let them do his beard.

I love having a place to display pictures of the friends attending the celebration and all the fun we've had the past year.

The gift bags for the kids contained each child's favorite candy, a Christmas cracker, glow sticks and these great confetti cannon's.  They shot way into the air and had a ton of confetti inside.  It would have been a lot less mess to do these outside but it was so cold on New Year's Eve at the mountain and they made a huge impression inside.  I'll definitely need to get these again.  Cannons here

We had lots of champagne on hand for the midnight toast.

Poor Tracie was without a pretty hat.  I realized I needed more of these a little late so I ordered more a couple days later for next year.  You can find these hats here.

We always do an elevator shot on New Years for some reason.

We played Left, Right, Center and Lauren won $45!  She was thrilled.

We can see the fireworks display from Skibowl at our unit on the deck.  We all kissed and drank to the new year as we watched the show.

We spent the next day sledding, playing in the pool and the guys got to go snowboarding at Meadows. What a wonderful time.
